Moldovan rescuers who returned to the country from Turkey received diplomas of honor

The Moldovan rescuers who went on an international mission to Turkey on February 6 returned to the Republic of Moldova. During a festive event, the head of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Alexandru Oprea, stated that the trainings carried out during the last 10 years were put into practice this time in Turkey.

"The team of the Republic of Moldova did not differ in any way from the other teams that came from all over the world. Welcome home and from Monday we must be ready for the next mission, which we do not know when and where it will take place". The 55 rescuers accomplished a mission that can be considered impossible, said Prime Minister Dorin Recean. "You have demonstrated that the people of the Republic of Moldova are solidary and united with other countries. There are more than 60 countries that participated in this rescue mission in Turkey. I want to thank you for standing out there, saving a child, checking and working in over 220 blocks in an area of 8 km2, which is a huge effort in such a limited time you worked there". We remind that the entire team of rescuers received diplomas of honor on behalf of President Maia Sandu. We remind you that on February 6, 12 special vehicles, 55 rescuers and 2 search dogs formed the IGSU team in the rescue missions of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkey.
