Ana Revenco: "We want to become a good security producer in the region"

Romania has always been an exceptional partner and was the first country to respond to the need of the Republic of Moldova with the threats and energy blackmail that Russia unleashed. A statement to this effect was made by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ana Revenco, in an interview for Deutsche Welle. The official from Chisinau emphasized that the neighboring country also promotes our state on all European platforms.

Moreover, Romania is close to us, when we are consolidating our capacities and capabilities in the field of security and defense, said the minister. "Romania is close to the Republic of Moldova and contributes to the direct way, but it is also an additional voice when we talk about the need to diversify the market for Moldovan products. However, this means that the economy of the Republic of Moldova is functional and people can create and invest. This also means jobs, this also means income to the budget. Or, this is exactly one of the priorities of the newly installed government. Together with the security component, to keep our borders and communities safe and thus become a good security producer in the region", said Ana Revenco. At the same time, the Interior Minister mentioned that the pressures on our state are increasing, noting that Russia is orchestrating several actions aimed at changing the democratic course of Chisinau.
