Igor Grosu: The Russian Federation is the last country that could give lessons to Chisinau authorities

The Russian Federation is the last country that could give lessons to the Chisinau authorities about the neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, or, it violates the principle of sovereignty and neutrality of our country holding its illegal army in the left region of the Nistru. The statement was made by the President of the Parliament Igor Grosu in a program from ProTV, in the context in which in the last period the Kremlin states that by his actions Chisinau does not respect the neutrality and wants to adhere to NATO.

"The position of the Russian Federation is a hypocritical one, it is the last country in my opinion that can talk about neutrality to the Republic of Moldova when it is illegally, the army for decades and all military equipment. Attention, we are not talking about the forces of peacekeeping, we are talking about a group of 1600 Russian soldiers and all the Cobasna full of their weapons. We ask the problem of evacuation, the problem of strengthening the defense capacity and they do not say that the so -called military forces in the Transnistria region are armed, ”said Igor Grosu. In this context, MEP Siegfried Mureșan said that the Russian Federation wants the Republic of Moldova to be weak, blackmail and manipulable because it is not the pro-Western path that the citizens have chosen. "The Russian Federation wants a weak, shared, manipulable, poor, controllable Moldova and at the disposal of politicians. It is clear that the brave direction that the Republic of Moldova has taken is not the Russian Federation. There is a permanent concern of the Russian Federation to try to misinform, manipulate to come with false news and even destabilize, "said Siegrfried Mureșan. We remind that Moscow came with a reaction after, at the end of last week, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean said in a show from the public television station that the Transnistrian region must be demilitarized. Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov mentioned in the context that the Chisinau authorities should be more careful about the presence of Russian peace forces in the transnistrian region.
