Government in Chisinau financed over 600 projects implemented in the localities of the Security Zone

Chisinau has invested more than 225 million lei to implement over 600 projects in localities within the Security Zone, as part of the country's Reintegration Activities Program. This information was shared by Valeriu Chiveri, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, during a meeting with the leadership of the Dubasari district and the mayors of the localities in the Security Zone.

The mayors reported several issues to the official from Chisinau, including difficulties accessing agricultural land and movement restrictions imposed by the unconstitutional regime in Tiraspol. They also mentioned the need for improvements to public infrastructure and other challenges affecting the daily lives of residents in areas within the Security Zone.

In addition, the mayors expressed their gratitude to the Reintegration Policy Bureau for the support and assistance received, particularly in the development and implementation of projects funded through the Country's Reintegration Activities Program.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government's commitment to safeguarding citizens' interests and pledged to take all necessary actions to ensure the smooth functioning of localities within the Security Zone. He emphasized that responsible institutions would continue to monitor the situation in the region and respond promptly when needed.

"Direct dialogue with local public administrations is essential to understanding the realities on the ground and formulating policies that address people's needs. We will continue to work together to strengthen cohesion and promote the interests of citizens in the Security Zone," stated Valeriu Chiveri, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration.

In the Doroțcaia locality, the Deputy Prime Minister met with employees of the Family Physicians' Office. The discussions centered around the working conditions of medical staff, the needs of the institution, and local access to medical services.

Chiveri reiterated that the authorities are committed to supporting medical institutions located in areas within the Security Zone, as these institutions serve as the primary point of access for citizens to essential services.

“Strengthening the capacities of these institutions, improving working conditions for medical staff, and ensuring uninterrupted access to equipment and resources are priorities that directly contribute to the well-being of local communities,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

We remind you that that the Country Reintegration Activities Program was initiated in 2011 and has been implemented annually to support the development of localities within the Security Zone and to strengthen social cohesion.

For 2025, the Government of the Republic of Moldova initially approved funding for 30 development projects under this program. Later, in August 2025, the Executive decided to expand the list of projects by adding six additional initiatives, bringing the total to 36.

These projects are aimed at modernizing institutions in the fields of education, healthcare, and social protection.
