Joe Biden, historic speech in Warsaw. President Maia Sandu - present at the event
US President Joe Biden is currently delivering a historic speech in Warsaw, Poland, one year after the start of the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine. Along with the president of Poland, the president of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, also participates in the event.
"Ms. Maia Sandu, we are proud to be here today, with you! A round of applause for the lady president (Maia Sandu n.red)", declared the leader of the White House.
At the same time, the American president declared that the US support for Ukraine remains unwavering and gave assurances: NATO will not be divided, and the US will defend "every centimeter of NATO".
"Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia. Never!. (…) We will hold accountable those who started this war and those who committed war crimes. Hard, painful days will continue, we will continue to see tragedy, but Ukraine will be prepared for the fight ahead, and the US and its allies will make sure it has something to defend itself," said Joe Biden.
This is President Joe Biden's second visit to Poland since the outbreak of the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine a year ago. On February 20, the leader of the White House made an unannounced visit to Kiev, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his team. Biden reaffirmed, in Kiev, the US's "unwavering" commitment to Ukraine's democracy, sovereignty and territorial integrity. At the same time, the leader of the White House announced a new military support worth 500 million dollars for Ukraine.
