By train to Iași: Romanian Railways add extra holiday services
Travellers planning a vacation in Iași now have more options to reach their destination. Moldovan Railways has announced additional trains on the Chișinău–Socola (Iași) route for the winter holidays.
The train will operate on December 26, 27, and 28, as well as on January 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.
Starting January 16, 2026, the Chișinău–Socola (Iași) train will run regularly on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, following the established schedule.
The journey from Chișinău to Iași takes nearly five hours. The train departs from Chișinău Railway Station at 06:27 and arrives in Socola at 11:15. On the return trip, the train leaves Socola at 17:36 and arrives back in Chișinău at 22:16.
