Road tragedy in the south: 20-year-old driver killed in crash
A 20-year-old man lost his life in a serious road accident that occurred on Saturday morning on the Baurci–Ceadâr-Lunga road, after he lost control of the steering wheel and crashed violently into a tree. Two other people, passengers in the car, were injured and required medical attention.
According to the Police, the accident occurred on Saturday around 09:20, and the law enforcement officers from Ceadîr-Lunga were alerted about "a traffic accident with victims" on the road connecting the towns of Baurci and Ceadîr-Lunga.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police officers preliminarily determined that the driver, a 20-year-old man, lost control of the car, left the roadway, and the vehicle overturned and crashed into a tree on the side of the road.
The impact was extremely strong. "Following the impact, the driver died on the spot, until the medical crew arrived", the police said. There were two passengers in the car, aged 19 and 38, who suffered various injuries and received medical care.
Law enforcement officers continue their investigations to accurately determine all the causes and circumstances of the tragedy. "The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the police," reads the official statement.
