Christmas Fair in the Great National Assembly Square extended to January 25

The Christmas Fair in Great National Assembly Square will continue until January 25, one week longer than previously announced. The fair will conclude with a raffle organized by the Chisinau City Hall.
At the request of several residents and in response to feedback, we have decided to extend the fair by an additional week. This period attracts many visitors, including compatriots returning home, and their request was to keep the fair open," explained Ion Ceban, the mayor of the capital, during a meeting of the Chisinau City Hall services on January 12.
The prize raffle, which will conclude the Christmas Fair, is scheduled for January 25, starting at 6:00 p.m. This contest is dedicated to participants in the information contest outlined in the Chisinau City Hall bulletin titled "Report for the results of the years 2024-2025," who have answered the questions posed.
According to the mayor, approximately 2,000 people are registered for the raffle and will receive details via email. Among the prizes offered by partners is a motorcycle.
Chisinau officially began the winter holiday celebrations on December 5, 2025. A 15-meter Christmas tree was inaugurated in the center of the capital, surrounded by a traditional Christmas fair featuring boiled wine and pastries.
On New Year's Eve and during the Christmas festivities, both in new and old styles, concerts were organized featuring several local artists.
