Delegation of the Republic of Moldova in the Joint Control Commission: The situation in the Security Zone is calm
The delegation of the Republic of Moldova in the Joint Control Commission (JCC) announces that the situation in the Security Zone is calm and without changes compared to the previous period.
"The flow of people and means of transport through internal customs posts remains constant this week, the number of checkpoints is unchanged, the staff of the posts has not been supplemented or armed, no movements of troops or military equipment have been fixed. Among the peacekeepers, no violations of discipline were reported", reads a statement of the Government. The delegation of the Republic of Moldova in the Joint Control Commission continues to monitor the evolution of the situation in the area. We mention that the Joint Control Commission is the governing body of the pacification mission in the Security Zone, which includes the localities along the Nistru River, on both banks.
