Romanian official: A new joint meeting of the governments of Chisinau and Bucharest to take place in the spring
The next joint meeting of the Governments of the Republic of Moldova and Romania could take place this spring, in Bucharest, claims the State Counselor for Foreign Policy, Security and Strategic Affairs of the Prime Minister of Romania, Iulian Chifu. In a special edition of Radio Moldova, the official stated that diplomatic and inter-ministerial exchanges between Romania and the Republic of Moldova take place constantly.
"Exchanges between ministries, developments, contacts, happen every day. If we take this dynamic we see that all the needs are covered and to the extent that the two governments, the two prime ministers will consider that there is a need to summarize the needs and the agreements to be made in the future, such a meeting will have place, for sure. (…) Most likely in the spring", declared the Romanian councilor Iulian Chifu. We remind that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, is to undertake an official visit to Bucharest on March 1, at the invitation of his counterpart Nicolae Ciucă, to discuss intergovernmental cooperation between the two states. The last meeting of the two Governments took place on February 11, 2022 in Chisinau, the then Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova was Natalia Gavrilița.
