National roads under constant watch; night interventions on several sectors

Traffic on national public roads is underway this morning under cold-season conditions, according to the National Roads Administration. The agency reports that overnight, intervention teams patrolled and continuously monitored all road sectors, responding promptly wherever necessary.
In the Sănătăuca and Soroca sectors, road workers have been spreading anti-skid material to combat slippery conditions and prevent ice formation. This measure aims to reduce the risk of road accidents.
Additionally, on the Chișinău-Orhei-Bălți road, specifically between kilometers 10 and 11, crews have been filling potholes. This work is essential for preventing traffic incidents and ensuring a safe driving experience.
Authorities have issued Code Orange and Code Yellow warnings nationwide due to heavy precipitation and high winds, which could further complicate traffic conditions.
In light of these developments, road users are advised to exercise increased caution. It is important to adjust your speed to the road conditions, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and strictly follow road signs.
Starting today at 8:00 PM and lasting until the evening of Wednesday, February 18, heavy precipitation is expected in the form of snow and sleet, with estimated amounts ranging from 20 to 35 liters per square meter.
