National Wine Day will be celebrated on October 3 and 4, in 2026

The Republic of Moldova will celebrate Wine Day at home this year in the heart of the capital. The 25th edition of National Wine Day will be held in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) on October 3rd and 4th.

Two days will be dedicated to celebrating the tradition, excellence, and passion for Moldovan wines, which are internationally recognized for their quality and authenticity.

According to the National Tourism Office, attendees will have the opportunity to taste award-winning wines while enjoying an artistic program and a festive atmosphere.

The event will also feature traditional dishes, along with opportunities to meet producers and hear the stories behind each bottle.

Organized by the National Vine and Wine Office, this event unites winemakers from all regions of the country, celebrating the national brand: Wine of Moldova – Unexpectedly Great.

"Let’s celebrate Moldovan wine culture together!" urge the organizers.

We remind you that, for the first time in 2025, the Taster's Booklet—required for wine evaluation—was available only in digital format. This initiative aimed to reduce paper consumption and make the celebration more sustainable.

National Wine Day is a moment for the entire country to celebrate its wine heritage, traditions, and the work of generations of winemakers. This holiday was established by Parliament's decision on December 26, 1990. National Wine Day has been celebrated annually since 2002 in October in Chișinău and in several districts throughout the republic.
