Oleg Serebrian discussed with US Ambassador to OSCE about regional security
The Deputy Prime Minister of Reintegration Oleg Serebian discussed the regional security situation in the context of Russia's aggression against Ukraine with the US ambassador to OSCE, Michael Carpenter and the US ambassador to Chisinau, Kent Logsdon.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebian stressed that the objectives of the country's reintegration policies remain focused on the peaceful resolution of the conflict, offering all the necessary assistance to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova on the left bank of the Dniester and the municipality of Bender, with the perspective of European integration.
Oleg Serebian emphasized that both the country's reintegration policies and the mechanisms approved in negotiations must lead to the peaceful and definitive regulation of the Transnistrian conflict, with the demilitarization of the region, the restoration of the constitutional authorities and the completion of the structural reforms throughout the country.
Also today, according to the media in the Transnistrian region, the US ambassador to Chisinau, Kent Logsdon had a meeting with the so-called Tiraspol leader, Vadim Krasnoselski. They discussed the situation in the region but also the continuation of the dialogue to resolve the Transnistrian conflict in the 5+2 format.
