Chisinau Airport sets 12-month roadmap for advanced digital transformation

Chisinau International Airport is launching an integrated digital platform designed to redefine the passenger journey. The new ecosystem allows travelers to book parking, Fast Track access, and business lounge entries online while receiving real-time flight updates.
This initiative marks a shift from a basic website to a sophisticated information system. According to airport management, the infrastructure connects directly to operational cores, adhering to the latest cybersecurity and accessibility standards.
Secure access and commercial integration
The platform features a secure user portal utilizing MPass and two-factor authentication (2FA). Passengers can execute online payments, generate electronic documents, and access transaction histories within a protected environment.
A dedicated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system will also be deployed. This tool ensures that passenger feedback and requests are managed efficiently, fostering a personalized relationship between the airport and its users.
Real-time synchronization and inclusivity
The system uses API integration to link terminal information displays with the mobile experience. This ensures that flight data is updated instantly across all touchpoints, reducing cognitive load for travelers.
The platform strictly follows international WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This commitment ensures that the digital interface is fully accessible to passengers with disabilities, providing an inclusive experience for all.
Strategic implementation phases
The rollout will span seven stages, including development, UX/UI design, and rigorous cybersecurity testing. The full deployment is expected within 12 months, followed by a comprehensive post-implementation warranty period.
The project is led by a multidisciplinary team of IT specialists and designers. Their goal is to build a robust technological foundation that supports the airport’s future growth and elevates its status in the regional aviation market.
