Chisinau's Foreign Minister visits Brussels to strengthen partnerships with the EU and NATO

The head of diplomacy in Chisinau, Mihai Popșoi, is on a working visit to Brussels from March 10 to 11 to strengthen strategic partnerships with the European Union and NATO.

The official agenda of Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, who also serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, began with a meeting with Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

On March 10, Mihai Popșoi will participate in the annual Conference of EU Ambassadors, a significant event that gathers high-ranking diplomats and leaders of civilian security missions. During this conference, he will act as the rapporteur for a session titled “Strengthening the European Union through Enlargement,” where he will speak alongside Marta Kos, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, and Ferit Hoxha, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania.

On March 11, the itinerary continues at NATO Headquarters, where Mihai Popșoi is scheduled to meet with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister will attend a meeting of the North Atlantic Council, which will include representatives from 32 allied nations, plus the Republic of Moldova. Discussions will focus on current developments in the security environment and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation to strengthen national resilience.
