Great Spring Cleanup in Chisinau: Streets washed, parks cleaned
On Saturday, March 14, all employees of municipal enterprises participated in a sanitation campaign called "Great Spring Cleanup." They were divided into teams to remove the waste that had accumulated over the winter throughout all sectors of the capital.
The streets and sidewalks have been cleaned using mechanical methods, and similar interventions have been carried out in parks and public squares.
"After we have nearly completed the first stage of asphalting, which followed the damage to the asphalt layer, we are now launching a major cleanup initiative. By Easter, the entire city should look clean and well-maintained," announced the mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban.
Chisinau City Hall has stated that cleanup efforts will also happen at night. The sanitation campaign will continue over the coming days.
Authorities are inviting volunteers, apartment building administrators, and business owners to help clean the courtyards of apartment buildings and their properties.
