Entrepreneurs supported on the EU market via Moldova’s SOLVIT Center

The Republic of Moldova is joining the European network of SOLVIT centers, which assist businesses in asserting their rights in the marketplace. In Chisinau, the SOLVIT Center will function within the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization (MDED) and offer services at no cost.
The SOLVIT service is a mechanism established in 2002 by the European Commission and Member States to address cross-border issues between companies or citizens and public authorities when EU legislation is misapplied.
"The service can be used by companies as an alternative to legal action when they face a refusal decision or restrictions on market access, based on the principle of mutual recognition," stated Natalia Selevestru, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, during a government meeting on March 18. At this meeting, the regulation for the SOLVIT Center of the Republic of Moldova was approved.
Natalia Selevestru emphasized the efficiency of the procedures implemented by the SOLVIT Center for finding solutions that ensure the free movement of goods, services, people, and capital.
"This will assist businesses if their rights are violated by public authorities in other European Union member states, and solutions will be identified within a period of up to 10 weeks," the official explained.
The decision regarding the operating procedures of the SOLVIT Center in the Republic of Moldova will take effect upon the country's accession to the European Union.
