Drivers alert: fog is disrupting traffic on several road sections
The General Inspectorate of Police advises drivers about the challenging traffic conditions during this period, caused by fog affecting several road areas across the country.
According to patrol officers, reduced visibility in some areas increases the risk of road accidents.
"In several road sectors, traffic is being driven in foggy conditions, leading to reduced visibility,” reported representatives from the IGP. They emphasized the need for drivers to increase their attention while driving.
In light of this, law enforcement officers recommend that drivers exercise maximum caution and adjust their speed according to traffic conditions. It is important to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and to use dipped headlights and fog lights when necessary.
During this period, the National Roads Administration is conducting maintenance on national roads, focusing primarily on cleaning water drainage ditches, sanitizing and cleaning the roadway, and ensuring the functionality of road safety features in areas where such interventions are needed.
The maintenance program also includes repairing road sections with crushed stone, filling potholes, and carrying out other necessary repairs identified in the field.
