First large-capacity feed factory under construction nationwide
Originally a family business, this venture has evolved with great perseverance. What once seemed like a challenging idea is now taking shape on an industrial scale. A state-of-the-art feed factory is being constructed from the ground up, poised to become one of the most significant in the country. The project features well-defined export plans and incorporates advanced technologies, all designed to ensure the safety and efficiency of the entire production process.

The feed factory plans to direct approximately 40% of its production toward export in the initial stage, with management's hope that this percentage will increase in the medium term.
"The project is quite significant for us, totaling 218 million, of which 90 million comes from aid from the European Union. We had been planning this FNC for a long time, but thanks to this aid, we were able to implement it earlier. With this grain processing system, we can prevent contamination from salmonella through sterilization. During this process, we treat the grains for 50 to 60 seconds at temperatures reaching up to 90 degrees, which completely destroys salmonella," says entrepreneur Dumitrița Cojocaru.

At the beginning of the year, this site was just an empty lot. However, construction is now in full swing, and the feed factory is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
"We began assembly work in February. Before we started, there was only a prepared concrete surface. Today, we have reached the twelfth level, having completed four levels so far. We still need to go through two more stages of construction, and the building will be over 40 meters high," says Maxim Cociubei, the construction manager.
This feed factory will be the first of its kind in the Republic of Moldova.
"For Moldova, this is the first factory authorized to operate with such a capacity. Initially, it will have a capacity of 20 tons, but as demand for larger quantities of feed increases, we plan to expand it to 40 tons. Currently, about 10 percent of the installation is complete. As you can see, we are making daily progress," emphasizes Sergiu Lefter, the mechanical engineer.

The construction of the factory was funded by the European Union, with a total investment of 218 million lei. This amount includes 90 million lei in direct financial aid, 68 million lei in income tax exemptions, and the remaining funds provided as a grant.
