Studentsl are attending classes this week. Following this week, they will have a 10-day Easter break and will return on April 21.
During the Chisinau City Hall meeting on April 6, Andrei Pavaloi, the head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth, and Sports, stated that Friday, April 10, will be the last day students are present in schools.
He emphasized that recommendations have been sent to all institutions to ensure compliance with safety norms during the holiday.
The Easter holiday will conclude on April 20, and students are expected to return to their studies for the second semester on Tuesday, April 21.
We remind you that the Ministry of Education, the General Inspectorate of Police, and the Directorates and educational institutions periodically send recommendations for the safety of children during the holidays. They are advised not to open the door to strangers, to be cautious in online communication and to avoid discussions with people under the influence of alcohol.
Parents are also urged to remind their children not to play on public roads, to cross the street only at pedestrian crossings and after drivers give priority, and not to get into cars belonging to strangers.
Police officers also recommend that students be careful with personal belongings, especially in public spaces, and to play only in safe places.
In case of risk situations, both parents and children can request help by calling 112.
We note that the second semester of the 2025 - 2026 academic year will end on May 29, but students in grades 9 and 12 will complete their courses earlier, on May 25, and will take the national exams.
