A new hearing in the "Shor" file was postponed
The next court session on the indictment of Ilan Șor was set for March 10. It happens after today, Șor's defenders submitted a request for postponement on the grounds of submitting to the Supreme Court of Justice a request to relocate the case.
According to a press release from the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, the request for postponement was considered unfounded by the court, because there is no decision of the Supreme Court of Justice ordering the suspension of the criminal trial, thus continuing the court session.
Later, the lawyers submitted a request for recusal to the entire trial panel of the Chisinau Court of Appeal. This was rejected, and all four lawyers, including the one from Great Britain, were fined 2250 lei each. Contacted by Radio Moldova, one of the lawyers, Iulian Bălan, stated that the decision is unfounded and will be challenged in court.
