Border authorities announced increased mobilization for the Easter holiday period to facilitate the movement of citizens returning home to celebrate with their families.

The Customs Service and the Border Police have decided to deploy additional personnel at the front lines, maximizing available resources to ensure continuous monitoring of the flow of people and vehicles.

To prevent congestion, additional control lanes will be opened, and the "Revers" procedure will be implemented as needed. Surveillance will be conducted based on risk analysis, with the support of mobile units and canine teams.

The customs authorities will also work closely with their counterparts in Romania and Ukraine to synchronize actions on the ground and reduce waiting times at border crossings.

Travellers are advised to check their documents before departure and to consult official platforms for real-time traffic updates. If necessary, they should consider using alternative crossing points.

To avoid congestion at Leușeni-Albița, the Leova-Bumbăta or Cahul-Oancea crossings are recommended. Travelers heading to Sculeni may consider Costești-Stânca or Lipcani-Rădăuți Prut as alternatives, while those planning to cross at Palanca can use the Tudora-Starokazacie point.

Traffic participants are encouraged to be patient and respect towards the personnel on duty. For additional information, they can call the Customs Service’s Single Call Center at 022 574 184 or the Border Police’s Green Line at 022 259 717.
