The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, said on Friday night in Kiev that "the future of Ukraine is to become a member state of the European Union", reports Agerpres. Roberta Metsola also said that the cooperation between the European Parliament and the Ukrainian one will strengthen.
The president of the Supreme Rada in Kyiv, Ruslan Stefanciuk, stated that the Ukrainian authorities are grateful for the resolution adopted on February 24 by the United Nations General Assembly, which reaffirms the need for the immediate withdrawal of all Russian military forces from Ukrainian territory. The document also specifies the immediate cessation of attacks against the critical infrastructures of this country, as well as the need to achieve a general, just and lasting peace as soon as possible. The head of the European Parliament paid particular attention to the ten-point peace plan of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and called for "support for this initiative" to end Russia's military invasion.
