Free online manuals and training: RED platform launches by end of June

Students, parents, and teachers will have free access to digital educational resources, including electronic textbooks and instructional videos, through a dedicated platform. The authorities plan to launch this platform by the end of June, and its concept received approval from the Government during the April 15 meeting.
The National Open Educational Resources Platform, commonly known as the RED Platform, is a strategic initiative aimed at supporting the digital transformation of the education system.
Minister of Education Dan Perciun stated, "The Ministry of Education is continuing the process of digitizing the system. A national open educational resources platform has been anticipated for a long time, where teachers, parents, and children can access high-quality digital materials developed by the ministry and its partners."
The platform is expected to be operational by the end of June, with free access to digital resources.
"You will be able to find digital textbooks recently developed by the ministry, along with videos about artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can be utilized by children," the Minister added.
The virtual library will feature step-by-step videos explaining how to use artificial intelligence—from formulating prompts correctly to identifying false or manipulated content. This content is created with support from UNICEF and aims to increase access to essential information about AI technologies, which are becoming increasingly prevalent in daily life.
The RED platform is being developed with European support as part of the "Promoting Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All" program. Its estimated cost is around 150,000 euros.
