Energocom warns consumers about fraudulent individuals posing as company representatives who request personal information, including ID card details, under the guise of checking gas meters.

S.A. Energocom has issued a statement alerting citizens to fraudulent activities occurring in their area. Scammers are posing as company representatives, visiting consumers' homes and providing misleading information about natural gas meter inspections while attempting to collect sensitive personal information, including ID card details.

The company stresses that these actions are unrelated to its operations. S.A. Energocom does not deploy mobile teams to visit consumers and does not ask for confidential information over the phone or in person, such as ID card information, bank details, or any other personal data.

In light of this, citizens are urged to remain vigilant and refrain from giving personal information to strangers. The company encourages everyone to verify any information they receive through official channels and to report any suspected fraud to the appropriate authorities immediately.
