Ungheni will have a modern agri-food market by autumn

The Ungheni Municipality will soon have a new agri-food market. Currently, construction is progressing rapidly: the water and sewage networks have already been installed, and work is underway to set up the lighting network. Following this, the foundation will be laid for 30 pavilions, which will be arranged in five rows.

According to the Ungheni City Hall, the agri-food market is being developed on a 1.19-hectare plot of land owned by the municipality, in accordance with current standards and needs.

Mayor Vitalie Vrabie, along with Deputy Mayor Nicolae Cevaga, recently visited the agri-food market site to assess progress on the development and speak with the contractor.

By autumn, it is anticipated that this area will transform into a comfortable and attractive space for traders, residents, and visitors of the municipality.

The project, titled "Construction of the Agri-Food Market in Ungheni Municipality," is being implemented by the Government of Chișinău, through the Regional Development Agency, with support from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) and the contributions of local public authorities.

The total investment for the project exceeds 17.5 million lei, with 15 million lei provided by the FNDRL and the remainder by the Ungheni City Hall.
