Tragic medical emergency on Chisinau-Tel Aviv flight leads to death of Israeli citizen

An Israeli citizen, aged approximately 70, passed away following a critical medical emergency during a flight from Chisinau to Israel.
The passenger lost consciousness while the aircraft was in transit, prompting the flight crew to execute an immediate emergency landing in Turkey.
Upon arrival, an emergency medical team met the aircraft and transported the man to a local hospital. Despite their efforts, medical professionals were only able to pronounce the individual deceased.
The victim was traveling on a flight that had departed from Chisinau bound for Tel Aviv, according to reports from The Jerusalem Post.
Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed they are in constant contact with the grieving family. They are currently coordinating with Turkish authorities to facilitate the repatriation of the remains for burial.
Competent authorities are expected to conduct a formal investigation to determine the exact circumstances and cause of death.
