Igor Grosu: An entity specialized in combating disinformation and propaganda from the online environment would be established in the Republic of Moldova
In the Republic of Moldova, a separate entity would be created, separate from the Audiovisual Council, specialized in combating disinformation and propaganda from the online environment. The statement was made by the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, during the program "La 360 de grade" on Radio Moldova.
Authorities are currently working on finalizing this entity, and more details will be provided along the way.
"Announcements will be made in the coming days regarding this center. The Audiovisual Council is doing a good thing, but it belongs to televisions, instead we have the huge virtual space, it's like a jungle that is unfortunately very skillfully used by all kinds of criminal regimes. We have to create data to monitor, to establish in time a new disinformation, line of attack ", said Igor Grosu. Currently, the Audiovisual Council is responsible for combating internal and external propaganda only on radio and television.
