President Nicușor Dan and Sandu advance EU agenda

President Maia Sandu announced she is traveling to Yerevan today to attend the European Political Community (EPC) Summit. She is accompanied by Romanian President Nicușor Dan for the high-level meeting.

The summit, hosted by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, is scheduled for Monday, May 4. Leaders from more than 40 European nations are expected to participate in this major diplomatic forum.

According to official sources, President Sandu will engage in several bilateral meetings during the event. These discussions will focus on accelerating Moldova’s EU integration and strengthening regional security frameworks.

In a key session, President Sandu will co-chair a meeting on democratic resilience with French President Emmanuel Macron. This session addresses hybrid threats, a priority on the current European security agenda.

President Sandu and President Nicușor Dan will also join the European Anti-Drug Coalition. This initiative was launched last year by President Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The EPC Summit serves as a critical platform for political dialogue and security cooperation. It aims to foster European unity and coordinated action across the continent.
