Family-centered festival planned for May 16 at the Botanical Garden in Chisinau

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection invites families from all over the country to the 2026 Family Festival, scheduled for May 16 at the Botanical Garden in Chisinau. This event, organized in honor of the International Day of Families, will gather public institutions, international partners, and civil society organizations to celebrate themes of solidarity, inclusion, and the well-being of children. Participation is free.

This year's festival is organized under the theme "Families, Inequalities, and Child Well-Being." The goal is to promote policies and initiatives that support families, reduce inequalities, and ensure better conditions for each child's development.

The festival will begin at 10:00 AM, with the official opening ceremony scheduled for 11:00 AM. Throughout the day, visitors of all ages—from children to parents and grandparents—will have access to a variety of activities.

The program will feature creative workshops, interactive activities, recreational and educational areas, intergenerational dialogue sessions, as well as artistic and musical performances. Additionally, there will be a special photo zone themed "like at grandma's home."

Representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection emphasized that "Through this event, the Botanical Garden in Chisinau will become a space for generational meetings, dialogue, and the promotion of family values."
