Moldexpo welcomes premiere edition of the “Trilogy of Taste” forum

The Moldexpo International Exhibition Center will host the inaugural edition of the gastronomic forum "Trilogy of Taste" from May 14 to 16. This event is part of the HoReCa Expo exhibition and will bring together local and international experts to showcase the latest innovations and trends in the hospitality industry through live culinary demonstrations.
This event features three exhibitions in one: Food & Drinks, Food Technology, and Packaging Depot, all under the HoReCa Expo umbrella. Zinaida Popa, the interim general director of the Moldexpo Center, stated on the "Bună dimineața" show on Moldova 1 (May 12 edition), “We understood during this activity that we need to impress our audience. We need to sell content and offer people more than just stands displaying technology or equipment."
The exhibition will showcase culinary demonstrations and presentations of equipment used in food preparation. Additionally, international companies will present products and demonstrations related to national gastronomy.
Popa noted, “French companies will delight us with croissants, baguettes, and other specialties from their country.” Access to the exhibition area will be free, while participation in the "Trilogy of Taste" forum will require a ticket.
The exhibition program begins on Thursday, May 14, at 10:00 AM, and activities will continue until Sunday afternoon. According to Popa, “The 'Trilogy of Taste' forum is a first for us and is the icing on the cake for this exhibition.”
The event aims to introduce trends and innovations from the international HoReCa industry to the Republic of Moldova, featuring both local and foreign specialists, as mentioned by Valeriu Derevenciuc, founder and organizer of Chef's Forum Moldova. He stated, “'Trilogy of Taste' is more than just an event; it is a platform designed to unite specialists from the HoReCa industry both in our country and abroad.”
The first day of the forum will focus on meat, with experts and professors from Italy discussing the topic in detail. The following two days will be dedicated to pastry and beverages, each segment featuring different guests and professionals.
Participants will have the chance to interact directly with professional chefs and enjoy tastings and culinary surprises prepared by them. Derevenciuc announced, “With the ticket, attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy lunch cooked by professional chefs.”
Such initiatives help promote the Republic of Moldova as an authentic and competitive tourist destination, according to Ana Șandra, interim director of the National Tourism Office of the Republic of Moldova. She stated “Tourists are not only looking for attractions; they seek interesting experiences and quality gastronomic offerings.”
Șandra emphasized that gastronomy and hospitality have become key factors in choosing tourist destinations, and the event serves as a promotional platform for both local producers and the HoReCa industry in Moldova. She concluded, “We believe this represents an extraordinary opportunity to promote our destination, primarily through gastronomy.”
