Teacher assault case under investigation after incident at school
The Ministry of Education and Research has responded after a novice teacher was reportedly assaulted by a parent of one of the students in the classroom. The incident was reported to the police, and specialists from the Republican Center for Psycho-Pedagogical Assistance will conduct psychological evaluations for both the teacher and the students involved.
The institution strongly condemns any form of violence against teachers, emphasizing that schools must remain safe spaces based on mutual respect. Aggression against teachers is intolerable, regardless of who perpetrates it.
We remind you that two years ago, the concept of insulting teachers was added to the Code of Contraventions. This measure was designed to provide additional protection for teachers and deter such behaviors.
According to the MEC, if the reported incidents are confirmed, those responsible will face sanctions in accordance with the law.
