Major investment brings regional treatment plant to Nisporeni

More than 11,600 residents of the city of Nisporeni and the commune of Vărzărești will benefit from modern sewage and treatment services. The Regional Development Agency (ADR) Centru has signed a construction contract to establish a regional treatment plant and expand the sewage networks in both localities. This project represents an investment of 63.6 million lei, allocated by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
The project titled "Construction of a regional wastewater treatment plant and expansion of the sewage system for the city of Nisporeni and the commune of Vărzărești" involves the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a daily capacity of 2,400 cubic meters, as well as the expansion of the sewage system in Nisporeni and Vărzărești.
Additionally, new sewage networks will be constructed and existing ones rehabilitated over a distance of approximately five kilometers.
This regional infrastructure will also benefit the localities of Bălănești, Găureni, Vânători, Ciutești, and Seliște in the Nisporeni district.
The estimated duration of implementation for these works is 12 months.
According to ADR Centru, this investment aims to enhance environmental protection and improve the living conditions of residents in the central region of the Republic of Moldova.
