She wished them an adventure-filled break full of beautiful memories and encouraged them to spend more time away from screens.
"Books can become your best friends this summer. They help you dream, travel through time and space, and discover new things. By staying away from screens, you will give your eyes and mind a rest, and each page you read will enrich your thoughts, ideas, and courage," said Maia Sandu.
In her message, the president also launched a summer reading challenge, inviting children to participate in a reading competition. She encouraged them to read as many books as possible by the end of August and to share their reading experiences with her.

Children can send their messages via email to [email protected], and at the end of the summer, they will be invited to the Presidency to share their impressions and feelings about their reading.

Because investing in children is the most important investment a country can make," the Prime Minister concluded.
