Rainy weather will hit Moldova on June 2

Meteorologists issued a Code Yellow warning for heavy rain, valid for June 2, from 08:00 to 23:00. Showers, lightning, and strong winds are expected in some areas, with gusts of 15–20 m/s.
The Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring Authority reports that the rain will be brief but widespread, primarily affecting the central and southern regions of the country.
Forecasts predict isolated precipitation amounts ranging from 15 to 45 liters per square meter.

The population is advised to stay in safe locations and avoid traveling during severe weather events, particularly in strong winds, as these can break branches and topple trees, electrical cables, and other objects.
Drivers should park their vehicles in safe areas, away from trees, utility poles, and other objects that may be affected by the wind.
We remind you that the torrential rains on May 22 resulted in flooding of roads and homes in several regions of the country. Significant areas of agricultural land were impacted, particularly in the districts of Călărași, Strășeni, Ungheni, and Criuleni, due to the failure of some dams.
According to the current assessment, at least 69 households were flooded.
