Igor Grosu reaffirms Moldova's solidarity with visiting Ukrainian MPs

The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova reaffirmed its staunch support for Ukraine on June 4 during a plenary session. Speaker of the Parliament Igor Grosu welcomed a visiting delegation from the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, emphasizing the deep ties between the two nations.
"Moldova stands with Ukraine and we condemn in the strongest terms the Russian Federation's war of aggression against Ukraine," Igor Grosu stated. He also highlighted the massive June 2 attack which left 22 people dead and numerous others wounded.
The Speaker expressed profound gratitude to the Ukrainian people for their resilience. He noted that Ukrainians are defending not only their own country, but also the peace and security of the entire European continent, including Moldova.
"Ukraine deserves a just and lasting peace. Glory to Ukraine!" Grosu concluded.

The delegation from the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation is conducting an official visit to Moldova from June 4 to 5.
During their stay, the Ukrainian lawmakers will hold meetings with Speaker Igor Grosu and Deputy Speaker Doina Gherman, who also chairs the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration.
The official agenda also features strategic discussions with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carolina Perebinos.
The high-level talks aim to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova. A key focus will be alignment on their mutual paths toward European Union integration.
