European Department Director of the IMF: the Republic of Moldova will overcome this crisis a little earlier than the rest of Europe

The agreement of the Republic of Moldova with the International Monetary Fund, worth a total of 800 million dollars, will contribute to the development of the country and raising the standard of living of the citizens, said the director of the European Department of the IMF, Alfred Kammer, for RLIVE. According to the official, the IMF experts encourage the Chisinau authorities to create a safe environment for the private sector, which will contribute to the expansion of investments in the Republic of Moldova.

The director of the European Department of the IMF anticipates that the Republic of Moldova will soon overcome the consequences of the war and the energy blackmail that generated record inflation for the country. According to the official, the policies of the National Bank of Moldova, to stop the rate of inflation, proved to be efficient. "We are seeing a substantial reduction in economic growth in Europe. We also see that Moldova will emerge from this crisis next year, probably a little earlier than the rest of Europe, because Moldova was affected by inflation earlier than the rest of Europe. The NBM took policy measures earlier than the Central Banks in the rest of Europe to quell inflation. We now see that core inflation is falling slightly," said Alfred Kammer in an interview broadcast on RliveTV. We remind you that Alfred Kammer paid a visit to Chisinau, between March 8-10.
