The US Embassy in Chisinau welcomed the agreement signed by the authorities with the Cuciurgan Power Plant
The Chisinau authorities' agreement with the Cuciurgan Power Plant represents an important step in the Republic of Moldova's efforts to strengthen its energy security and minimize the increase in prices for consumers.
This message was sent by the Ambassador of the United States of America in Chisinau, Kent D. Logsdon, in the telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu. At the same time, the ambassador promised the continuous support of the USA for the energy and electricity needs of the Republic of Moldova.
TRM.MD recalls that the State Enterprise "Energocom" signed, on Saturday, December 3, the electricity supply contract with the Cuciurgan Power Plant for the month of December.
Subsequently, the Commission for Exceptional Situations requested the National Agency for Energy Regulation to review and reduce the electricity tariff within 3 days.
