US and Brazil triumph while Turkey faces early World Cup exit

The United States and Brazil secured crucial victories to advance in the World Cup, while Turkey became the first major casualty of the tournament following a consecutive defeat.
In Philadelphia, Brazil dominated Haiti with a comfortable 3-0 victory, scoring all goals in the first half. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 21st minute and doubled the lead fifteen minutes later, before Vinicius Junior added a third just before the interval.
Meanwhile, the United States booked their place in the round of 32 after defeating Australia 2-0 in Seattle. The host nation took the lead in the 11th minute through an own goal by Australian defender Cameron Burgess, with Alexander Freeman sealing the victory shortly before halftime.
Group C updates and Turkey elimination
In the other Group C fixture, Morocco secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Scotland. Ibrahim Saibari scored the decisive goal just 71 seconds after the opening whistle.
Turkey was officially eliminated from the competition after losing 1-0 to Paraguay. Matias Galarza scored for the South American side after just 64 seconds, registering the fastest goal of the tournament in North America.
Vincenzo Montella’s Turkish side sustained relentless pressure in the second half, especially after Paraguay's Miguel Almirón was sent off following a VAR review for an unsporting verbal altercation. Despite finishing the match with 79% possession and 32 shots on goal, Turkey failed to equalize.
