Chisinau City Hall: 10th-grade admission starts July 13 via competition

Admission to the 10th grade for the 2026-2027 academic year will be conducted on a competitive basis through a transparent digital process, in accordance with the regulatory framework approved by the Ministry of Education and Research. According to an announcement from the Chisinau City Hall, applications must be submitted exclusively online via the eșcoală platform. Students will have the option to choose a maximum of three high school institutions.
The candidates' application file must include the following documents: completed application form, a copy of the secondary school graduation certificate, a copy of an identity card or birth certificate, a medical certificate, a passport-sized photo (3×4 cm), if applicable, copies of diplomas or awards from Olympiads and competitions.
Admission will be based on a competitive process that considers the admission average, calculated using school results and, where applicable, performance in relevant subjects.
Certain categories of candidates may be admitted without competition, up to 10% of the available places for each program. These categories include: children without parental care, children from families with parents who have severe or pronounced disabilities, students with special educational needs who have followed the general curriculum, twins, where one has exceptional academic achievements, children of migrant workers from third countries, children of Moldovan citizens living abroad.
Students may select up to three lyceums in order of preference. Allocations will be made automatically based on their competition average and the number of places available.

The admission process will occur in two stages. The first stage is scheduled from July 13 to August 1, while the second stage will take place between August 3 and 14, focusing on filling any remaining spots.
Today, June 25, the results of the national baccalaureate and gymnasium graduation exams will be announced. Candidates who disagree with their grades may file appeals, and their papers will be re-evaluated by specially established republican commissions—18 for baccalaureate subjects and 5 for gymnasium graduation exams.
Baccalaureate candidates will have 48 hours from the announcement of the results to file an appeal. In contrast, gymnasium graduates will have 24 hours to do the same. Applications must be submitted by candidates at the centers where they took the exams, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Before deciding to file an appeal, students can consult their verified exam papers through an electronic platform. Access data will be provided by their educational institutions. The final results, after the appeals are considered, will be published on July 3.
