The parliamentary faction of "Our Party" has announced the initiation of a straightforward motion against the fiscal policy proposed by the Minister of Finance in the draft budgetary-fiscal policy for 2027. They are inviting all members of Parliament to sign it. The faction argues that the document goes beyond mere technical adjustments and, in fact, constitutes a comprehensive fiscal reform that could significantly affect the national economy, the business environment, and citizens' standard of living.

“Our Party” MP Alexandr Berlinschii has expressed concerns regarding the budget-fiscal policy draft, stating that it was developed in a non-transparent manner, lacking sufficient public consultations and genuine dialogue with the sectors that will be affected by the new fiscal measures.

Berlinschii warned, “Such an approach risks damaging the economy, discouraging investments, forcing businesses to close, and leaving people without jobs.”

Through a simple motion, the “Our Party” faction is requesting that the Minister of Finance provide clear explanations to Parliament about the rationale behind the reform, the economic and social impacts of the proposed measures, and the results of any consultations that have been conducted thus far.

Additionally, the faction is calling for the withdrawal and significant revision of the draft budget-fiscal policy for 2027, urging the organization of meaningful consultations with all affected sectors and the presentation of credible impact analyses before advancing these measures.

The “Our Party” parliamentary faction consists of six members.

To initiate a simple motion in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, at least 15 deputies' signatures are needed. This motion can be submitted to clarify and discuss issues related to domestic or foreign policy, or concerning the activities of a government member (a minister).

According to the Ministry of Finance, the new fiscal policy aims to simplify the taxation system, stimulate investments, and reduce tax evasion. The final version of the draft will be completed after consultations with representatives from the business community, local authorities, and civil society.
