CENTCOM hits ten military sites in mainland Iran

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) launched airstrikes against ten military targets inside Iran on Sunday night. Defense officials confirmed the operation came as a direct response to Tehran’s sustained hostility toward commercial vessels navigating the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The targeted operations focused on critical Iranian military infrastructure. According to official military statements, the assets destroyed included specialized hardware installations, communication networks, air defense systems, Iranian drone storage units, and naval minelaying hardware.

White House response and diplomatic warnings

US President Donald Trump addressed the military action in a statement published on his social media platform, Truth Social. Trump declared that the tactical strikes serve as a direct response to Iran's repeated violations of the mid-June ceasefire agreement.

The American leader emphasized that future provocations would meet severe military opposition. Trump noted that continued non-compliance by Tehran could force Washington to permanently conclude the conflict through decisive military means.

Regional retaliation and military countermeasures

Iran retaliated hours after the American strikes, targeting US military installations located in Bahrain and Kuwait. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Naval Forces Command confirmed responsibility for the counterattacks.

Iranian military officials issued subsequent warnings to US forces stationed throughout the Middle East. The IRGC command stated that regional operational facilities would face severe escalation and promised harsher naval measures against any vessels violating their maritime directives.
