Ukraine reports civilian casualties in heavy Russian attacks

Russian forces launched a massive aerial assault on several Ukrainian regions overnight, resulting in three deaths and multiple injuries.

The attacks targeted critical civilian infrastructure, including a fuel station, a supermarket, and residential homes.

Regional impact

In the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone strike on Bogoduhiv claimed two lives. The strike damaged a supermarket, a furniture store, and several vehicles. Regional Military Administration head Oleh Sinehubov reported a total of three deaths and eight injuries across the region in the last 24 hours.

Four additional people were wounded in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.

Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, bombardments in Pavlograd left two people injured. Residential buildings and vehicles sustained significant damage, while an industrial facility in Dnipro was also hit.

In Sumy, a Russian strike on a fuel station triggered a large fire. Emergency services managed to extinguish the blaze despite the ongoing threat of further aerial bombardment.

Escalation reports

The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that Russia launched four missiles and 125 strike drones overnight on July 5. Defensive units reported direct impacts in three locations, with falling debris causing damage in eight other areas.
