UN and Russian representatives discuss grain export deal extension

United Nations (UN) and Russian representatives have begun talks on whether the Moscow administration should extend an agreement allowing Ukrainian grain exports across the Black Sea.

The Black Sea initiative was agreed last July by Russian and Ukrainian representatives, but is due to expire on Saturday 17 March.

The agreement ended the Russian blockade of Ukrainian Black Sea ports and helped avert a global food crisis as a result.

The distribution system operators within the “Moldovagaz” group have submitted to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) proposals for amending the Investment Program for 2025 and the Network Development Plan. The initiative provides for the connection of several localities in the Security Zone and on the right bank of the Nistru to the natural gas distribution network.
