EU decided to extend sanctions targeting those responsible for undermining or threatening Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence
The Member States of the European Union have decided to extend for a further six months, until 15 September 2023, the restrictive measures targeting those responsible for undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
According to a Council of the European Union press release, the existing sanctions provide for travel restrictions on individuals, the freezing of assets and a prohibition on making funds or other resources available to listed persons and entities. 1,473 individuals and 205 economic entities are targeted by these measures.
The European Union reiterates that it will stand by Ukraine with guaranteed support for as long as needed and remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
