List of compensated medicines extended from 1 April
Effective April 1, insured patients suffering from hypertension will benefit from compensated medicine. The decision to extend the therapeutic indications for the preparation with the international name "nebivololum" belongs to the Council for medicines compensated from compulsory health insurance funds (FAOAM), according to the Ministry of Health.
Thus, the drug, used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, will be prescribed not only to patients with heart failure, but also to hypertensive patients, regardless of age.
The preparation will be compensated at 80% of the price. Around 70 000 people are expected to benefit from the drug each year.
