Pools provide a cool retreat on hot summer days
Temperatures exceeding 30 degrees prompted many to leave the city for a day at the pool. In a recreation area near Chisinau, sun loungers were occupied from early in the day.
A day at the pool costs 100 lei for children. Adults pay 300 lei on weekdays and 350 lei on weekends. For many, this is one of the most affordable ways to enjoy a summer day.
Families with children, groups of friends, and young people choose the pool to escape the heat of the city.
"If we don't stay in the air-conditioned apartment, our second option is to go to the pool. My son Dragoș and I are here together, as my husband is currently abroad, and we decided to spend the weekend enjoying ourselves. The atmosphere is very pleasant, we really like it, and the prices are reasonable."

The administrator noted that on hot days, visitor numbers increase significantly, and the pool tends to be full on weekends.
"We really hope for nice weather; after all, that's what summer is all about—it's the perfect time to sunbathe. We invite everyone who has some time and a good mood to come and relax," mentioned Adrian Focșa, the administrator of the pool.
Meteorologists have announced that high temperatures will continue in the coming days.
