Over 500 young teachers head to classrooms this fall

More than 500 young teachers are scheduled to start their positions in educational institutions across the Republic of Moldova on September 1. This announcement was made by the interim Minister of Education, Dan Perciun, following the completion of the first stage of document submissions for school assignments.

According to officials, the ministry will reach out to graduates who have not yet registered for the placement process, to inform them about available positions and encourage them to pursue a career in education.

Additionally, individuals who missed the first stage will have the opportunity to participate in additional rounds. Authorities have stated that hiring will continue throughout October, depending on the needs of educational institutions.

This year, the state has increased financial support for young teachers. The one-time employment allowance can reach up to 375,000 lei and is intended for graduates who choose to teach subjects where there is a shortage of teachers, such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, and the Romanian language in schools that provide instruction in other languages.

This support is available to young specialists who decide to work in educational institutions located outside the municipalities of Chișinău and Bălți.
