According to the Presidency, the members of the Commission examined the status of the implementation of the National Accession Program in the first six months of the year, as well as the fulfillment of the interim benchmarks related to chapters 23 and 24 of the European Union accession process, which concern justice, fundamental rights, freedom and security.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that these areas represent the foundation of the entire accession process, and the success of the reforms depends primarily on the measures implemented at the national level.

The meeting's agenda also included the presentation of the new Government's European integration priorities, as well as preparations for the 2026 Enlargement Package, a document through which the European Commission will annually assess the progress made by the Republic of Moldova.

The Head of State stated that "the advancement of the Republic of Moldova on the European path is built through consistently implemented reforms and through concrete results, felt by citizens".

At the same time, Maia Sandu called on all institutions involved in the European integration process to continue their joint efforts. "The President urged state institutions, central and local public authorities, civil society and the private sector to remain mobilized and coordinate their efforts to maintain the pace of transformations," reads the Presidency's press release.
