The museum's exhibits illustrate the historical evolution of the Teleneşti district, spanning from antiquity and the Middle Ages to the present day. Visitors can explore various tools from the past that were used in the households of Bessarabian peasants.

"Among the exhibits are a few objects related to making reed roofs, including the needle used to sew the reeds and a tool for laying the reeds tightly together to prevent rain from seeping in," says Svetlana Bunduchi, interim director of the Teleneşti Museum.

A highlight of the museum is the Casa Mare, which features exhibits and an atmosphere characteristic of a bygone era.

"The Casa Mare represents the soul of the Romanian people. As a history teacher, I have visited the museum with my students on several occasions. Some of them saw the Casa Mare for the first time. It is no longer found in most modern houses today," says teacher Mariana Bulmaga.

Visitors can admire an icon with a dramatic history. “The icon belongs to citizen Ştefan Sârbu from the village of Ineşti. He was deported to Siberia and took the icon with him,” says Svetlana Bunduchi.

"Every time he visited the village, he would meet the locals, and I remember how he addressed them as 'Bade' and 'Ţaca.' We have several exhibits from his personal archive, the most significant of which is the Olympic Order," the museum director noted.

Most of the exhibits were donated by residents of the villages in the Telenești district.

"I have a dedication that reads, 'The Museum, a Holy House.' A museum in a community serves as a place where the memories and traditions of the people come together."

The museum is housed in a historic building constructed in 1860 by the family of the boyar Iordache Teodosiu. Over the years, the building served various purposes, eventually becoming abandoned before undergoing restoration. The museum was officially inaugurated at this location on August 28, 2015.
